Boat Rental Policy
Charterer must be at least 25 years old, must speak English and must have a minimum of two years of boating experience. Charterer must provide a valid Driver’s License and credit card with available funds of $1000 for verification (no AMEX). Funds will be held, limiting access to these funds until processed by your banking institution (usually within 24 hours but sometimes up to 72 hours). Credit card holder must be present with photo ID on the day of the rental. Those born on or after January 1, 1988 must also supply a Boater Safety ID Card. Failure to produce/prove any of the above will not allow you to rent.
ON THE DAY OF YOUR RENTAL
We ask that you arrive 20 minutes before your rental time to do the paperwork and review operation of the vessel. If you are late we cannot adjust your rental start or end times.
You will be required to fill out a resume which will ask you questions about your past boating experience. These are scored using a point system and a satisfactory score is necessary. An understanding of how to operate the boat once on-board is also necessary. If you do not have enough experience, you will not be able to rent the boat. It is essential for the safety of everyone in the rental group that the driver understand the safety information and operational instructions provided for them.
If you cannot understand or communicate fluently with the staff at Daily Boat Rental, we cannot rent you the boat. We cannot rely on an interpreter to give you important instructions in the event of an emergency or breakdown.
We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual if in the opinion of our staff a question exists regarding their ability to understand and follow the rules, regulations, safety instructions, laws and/or operational characteristics.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Towels, sunscreen, hats, etc. You can bring food and drinks aboard and we will provide you with a small cooler and one bag of ice.
There are Publix supermarkets to our north at Camino Real and Federal Highway and to our south at Hillsboro Blvd and Federal Highway. You are permitted to have alcoholic beverages aboard the boat, but the driver cannot drink and drive!
Fishing equipment is ONLY permitted on our center console boat models. Spear guns are not permitted on any of our boats at any time. We do not allow pets or grills on board our boats.
You may bring inflatable lounge tubes and rafts; however, we do not permit towing of any equipment behind the boat. You must have a working cell phone with you at all times. We recommend bringing a zip-top plastic bag to hold your phone, wallet and car keys. If you are eating and drinking on board the boat, we recommend that you bring a trash bag for your garbage. A clean-up fee can be assessed if the boat is returned in excessively dirty condition.
Cancellations made LESS than 24 hours in advance will result in a cancellation fee equal to 25% of the rental rate. Cancellations due to bad weather will not result in a cancellation fee.
If you wake up on the morning of your rental and there is bad weather, simply call us to either cancel or reschedule. Bad weather consists of rain within an hour of your rental time, thunder or lightning, 50% or more chance of rain predicted, high winds (20mph+), or cold temperatures (below 65 degrees) and other factors within reason.
Please keep in mind that ocean use may or may not be allowed on the day or your rental. We have no way of predicting what the seas will be like on a future date. Cancellations due to no ocean use will result in a cancellation fee.
